Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero The hotel was in a PERFECT location. The window overlooked the water and gondola's would sail right past. It was amazing! A short walk to San Marcos square and many restaurants and shops! The price was fabulous, the room clean and staff super friendly! The room was small but we weren't in it much. We were glad to have a private bathroom as many places in Europe have shared bathrooms- ick. We enjoyed spending Christmas here and will definitely return to Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero again!

Concierge and reception extremely helpful = arranged for water taxi at 4 am, ex. Closest water taxi drop is Rialto, then short walk [long, if dragging luggage] down picturesque Calle de Fabbri. Equidistant [@10 min walk] from Rialto and Piazza San Marco. Fabulous location. Cafe and restaurant good quality. You should update travelers about Venice's new[?] no-smoking indoors anywhere policy, including the airport -- not even a lounge. Even in outdoor cafes, you have to ask for an ashtray. There are quite a few steps to climb to get to check in counter,we were on floor 3 so had to climb more stairs, which did not bother us, but is to consider. the rooms were small but very clean, very nice bathroom. THe staff was very friendly. We had a corner room that had 2 windows to open to canal. The room had a coffee pot, which is simple but great item to be able to get up and have coffee, and not have to run to the breakfast floor, there breakfast was as usual,(ham, salami,bread, cereal, cheese, but nice. and again very clean.

Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero The frontdesk person, Natasha, was the most rude staff person I have ever encountered. She was on a personal call when we arrived back to our room, and was very annoyed that we had questions to ask her while she was talking on the phone. The hotel also doesn't have an elevator and we had to bring our large bags down three flights of stairs in the morning (7 am) since the bellman was not working at that hour.

Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero El hotel es muy comodo, la decoracion de los cuartos es muy agradable, con detalles que no se encuentran en otros. Como la posibilidad de prepararse te o cafe en el cuarto y galletas que lo acompanen. Lo unico que tienen que agregar en la descripcion del hotel es que no hay acensor. El hotel empieza en el segundo piso y entre piso y piso hay dos grupos de escaleras con mas de 8 escalones cada uno. Esto es un impedimento para personas de edad que no pueden subir escaleras o cargar peso de maletas. Mi estancia en el hotel fue muy positiva y no tengo ninguna reserva en volver a hospedarme en el o de recomendarlo.

Nous avons apprécié la petite baignoire, le réfrigérateur dans la chambre et l'accès public à internet gratuit. Le petit déjeuner est complet et à volonté, idéal pour affronter le froid vénitien. Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Canale, es war einfach toll. In der schönen Jahreszeit muss es perfekt sein. Die Locanda liegt zwischen dem Markusplatz und der Rialto-Bruecke, also mitten drinnen. Wir würden in jedem Falle wieder hier übernachten.

Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero Wir haben 5 wunderschöne Tage in dieser Märchenstadt verbracht und wenn wir abends nach einem kleinen Eis, gleich hinter der Brücke in Richtung Marcusplatz, in unser kleines Hotel nach Hause kamen, konnten wir uns in unserem sehr schön eingerichteten Zimmer für den nächsten Tag herrlich entspannen. Das Bett, das Bad, die kleine Minibar, ... alles wunderschön. Das Frühstück nicht so üppig und viel Verpackung, aber dafür ein hervorragender Kaffee und schöne Atmosphäre ... gerne noch einmal.

Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen, überschaubar und familiär. Mein Einzelzimmer war winzig, aber ansprechend mit allen Notwendigkeiten ausgestattet. Der Schreibtisch war allerdings von Fernsehapparat und vom Teetablett vollgestellt. Für beide Utensilien (die man nicht vermissen möchte) war auch kein anderer Platz vorgesehen – daher der kleine Abzug beim Zimmerkomfort. Die Serviceleistungen des Hauses waren vorzüglich, das Personal freundlich und gut geschult. Der Preis (einschließlich der verrechneten Telefontarife) war angemessen.

Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero Unser Doppelzimmer war sehr sehr klein, einer mußte sich immer setzen, um den anderen nicht im Wege zu stehen. Wenn es verschiedene Größen der DZ gibt, wäre sicher bei der Reservierung vom Vorteil diese anzugeben. Beim Frühstück wurde leider das Bufett nicht nachgefüllt, um 9.30 Uhr war fast nichts mehr da, im Urlaub sind wir Spätaufsteher und wir haben uns schon ein bisschen geärgert darüber. Ansonsten war alles ok und wir haben schöne Tage in Venedig verlebt!

Hotel Antica Locanda Al Gambero Bei Anreise mit dem Auto nach Venedig (Parking Piazza Roma) ist der Gepäcktransport zum Hotel und da in den ersten Stock ohne Lift ein grosses Problem da die Kanaltaxis beim Hotel nichtmehr anlegen dürfen. Wir mussten am Abend bei Ankunft 4 schwere Koffer (wegen anschliessender Kreuzfahrt) ca. 300m weit ohne Hilfe tragen da kein Träger mit Wagen vorhanden war und das Wassertaxi nicht näher an das Hotel fahren konnte. Der Kunde sollte anlässlich der Buchung darauf aufmerksam gemacht werden um sich entsprechend einrichten zu können.
